All About Toilets
Toilets
Toilet pans have changed a lot over the past few years for the better, we think these days, most come with a rimless flush rather than an open-rim toilet. Open-rim toilets collect germs and are difficult to clean the use of bleach or other cleaning products are needed to clean the rim, but with a rimless toilet, a simple wipe of a damp cloth is sufficient to keep your toilet clean and free of that awful bleach smell.
toilet pans are generally either round or square shaped to suit your preferred look & design of the bathroom they are also available in different heights. Many people opt for comfort height these days to help with the pan it can cause bending down to reach the standard height toilet the difference in height is only 50mm but this makes a world of difference you can also have open & close back options where the ceramic of the toilet will sit flush and concealed your soil pipe these are only suitable if your toilet soil pipe is coming directly behind the toilet if your toilet soil pipe is entering through the side you will have to use an open back design toilet.
Back-to-wall pans are another option with a back-to-wall pan you would hide your cistern within a prebuilt or false wall or even use a ready-made box manufactured by many of our furniture manufacturers. These are ideal for concealing pipework, but this may be an issue in a smaller bathroom because the toilet will increase in depth by around 80 – 125mm.
and last but not least there are wall hung back to wall pans these pans are designed to be attached to a steel frame with a hidden cistern to use a wall-hung toilet frame there are many options in different sizes & heights and you have to consider the depth of which the frame needs to fit into your wall cavity we recommend no minimum that 125mm prebuilt wall to fit your toilet frame & cistern into.
